Tapio Wirkkala was one of four prize winner in the 1962 Baadische Anilin- und Sodafabrik invitational competition; only Wirkkala’s plan went into production. Worth noticing is the “thermostructure”; the colored and white parts are rotated detachable and between them the air space. Material Luran / melamine.Manufactured by Rosenthal / BOLTA-werke, Mannheim, Germany 1964-1967. There is marks of usage.
